About Us

Heaton Ingredient is owned and run by Simon and Maggie Snowball. After the success of their flagship eatery ’Quay Ingredient’, they have ventured into the suburb of Heaton to bring their culinary delights to a new audience.

Married since 2005 Maggie and Simon now have a third member to their team: Born in March 2014 little Lee is a frequent visiter to both Quay and Heaton Ingredient.

Simon is a friendly, local chef whose dishes are wholesome and filling with a touch of finesse. His past includes working with Jean-Christophe Novelli, Terry Laybourne and as sous chef at Irving’s in North Shields.

Maggie is service with a smile! Having worked front of house at restaurants around the globe, including Jesmond Dene House in Newcastle, Maggie’s customer service is second to none and instantly makes you feel at home.
